Indoor Gatherings | What to Expect

Welcome to Anthem!

We are so glad you are planning to join us for our indoor gatherings! As we look forward to being together, please take a moment to review what you and your household can expect as you arrive on Sunday morning.

1. Aside from the primary goal of worshipping our Lord as we gather, one of our highest priorities is to remain both hospitable and safe. Our first step in this is prevention – if you or anyone in your household is exhibiting any symptoms of sickness or has been exposed to anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not attend our in-person gatherings until you are well again. We are still utilizing our livestream on Sundays at 9:00am, so you can still tune in to watch the gathering in this way.

The symptoms and situations to look out for are:
  • Within the past 24 hours (NEW or not explained by a pre-existing condition)
    •  Fever (≥100°)
    • Cough
    • Sore throat
    • Difficulty breathing
    • Unexplained muscle aches
    • Loss of sense of smell or taste
    • Nasal congestion (not allergies)
    • Diarrhea (≥ 3 loose stools in 24 hours)
    • Eye redness with or without drainage
  • If, in the past 14 days, you have tested positive for COVID-19 (or are currently being tested for COVID-19 and have symptoms)
  • If, in the past 14 days, you have lived with or otherwise been exposed to someone who has COVID-19 or you are currently being tested for COVID-19 and you have symptoms. Exposure is defined as: less than 6 feet away for more than 15 minutes, with one or more individuals not masked.

2. As you arrive, please find a parking space, put on a mask, and head towards the church. You will soon be met by one of our greeters, who will direct you towards the front of the church. Please maintain social distancing as you wait in line; as you approach the building, there will be markers indicating where to stand.

3. Right before entering the building, you will check in at the Welcome Center, where everyone will have their temperature taken with a contactless thermometer. Temperatures will be recorded solely for uses in contact tracing, if needed. If anyone in the household has temperature above 100° the entire household will be asked to return home and utilize the livestream for the morning. If temperatures for the household pass, you will be provided with pre-packaged communion elements and some hand sanitizer.

4. Your household will then enter the building, where you will be met by an usher at the door of the sanctuary. Unless you need to use the restroom, please head directly to the usher at the door of the sanctuary.

5. The usher will escort your household to your seats, which will be appropriately distanced from others. Please maintain this distance for the duration of the gathering. Once seated, please stay in your seats for the duration of the gathering, unless using the restroom. Facility restrooms will be cleaned before the gathering and are open for use during the gathering.

6. Our gatherings should last approximately an hour and 15 minutes. Every Sunday morning on our app you will find a digital bulletin, where we list important information about our church, upcoming events, and fill-in notes for the sermon.

7. We are taking every precaution to minimize the risk of infection or spread. Whoever is teaching or preaching is required by the church to pass a COVID test earlier in the week so that they can preach unmasked. Our worship leader will have a glass shield in front of their microphone as they sing. Per state order, congregational singing is prohibited indoors. Please respect these orders to ensure a safe environment for all attending.

8. A family room will be available for families with children under the age of three in the back of the sanctuary for guests first on a “first come, first served” basis and will then be available for members on a rotating basis. If you would like to utilize this room for indoor gatherings, please let us know by emailing us at hello@anthemchurch.net.

9. Once the gathering has ended, households will be dismissed one by one. Please remain seated until you are dismissed by one of our ushers. Proper distancing and masks must continue to be utilized as households leave the building.

10. Once you have left the building, please head to the parking lot to visit with others. Please do not visit with others near the church or under the tent. We will be working hard to set up the 11:00AM outdoor gathering as soon as the indoor gathering dismisses, and these spaces must be clear in order for us to effectively do so.

After attending, if for any reason you do not feel comfortable with the environment we’ve curated, we would love to hear your concerns or suggestions for improving safety. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at hello@anthemchurch.net for any reason at any time during this process.

We look forward to worshipping with you in person! May we make Jesus known together, worshipping him in every season we walk through together as his church.
